On November 21-22, 2024, US-Japan CNO Leadership Meeting hosted by INPO and JANSI was held at JANSI. 4 U.S. CNOs (Chief Nuclear Officers) and 8 Japanese CNOs discussed the lessons learned from the Fukushima Daiichi accident and plant performance improvement initiatives.
On November 18-20, the U. S. CNOs visited Fukushima Daiichi and Kashiwazaki-Kariwa NPSs to review damages by the accident, present status, and safety countermeasures implemented after the accident.
