Neil Wilmshurst, Vice President & CNO, EPRI

On February 19, 2018, Neil Wilmshurst, Vice President and Chief Nuclear Officer (CNO) of the US Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI), visited JANSI and had an informal discussion with its executives.

JANSI and EPRI have signed an agreement on participation in a nuclear power-related research program and the utilization of the program’s results. Wilmshurst spoke about the current state of the US nuclear power industry and about the relationship between its three pillars, namely INPO, NEI, and EPRI. There was also a lively discussion on a wide range of topics, including the US’s work in developing accident tolerant fuels and the future utilization of AI in power plant management.
