JANSI held the "JANSI Annual Conference 2023" on March 15th 2023. This tenth annual conference was viewed by about 400 people by online, and, was attended by members of the Institute and domestic/foreign experts.

The conference was held to help set appropriate themes related to nuclear power, think of them as the issues of JANSI members and nuclear professionals themselves, and confirm the direction of future efforts while taking into account domestic and international trends.
This time, JANSI celebrated its 10th anniversary on Nov.15,2022. As we enter the middle year of the 10 Year Strategy , we will confirm the results of activities and look toward future activities in order to contribute to the formulation of strategies and action plans for the next 10 years

The program started with message from Dr. Shinsuke Yamanaka (Chairman, Nuclear Regulation Authority, Japan (NRA) ), Mr. Robert Frederick Willard(President and CEO, Institute of Nuclear Power Operations (INPO)) and Mr. Kazuhiro Ikebe (Chairman, Federation of Electric Power Companies).

Next Hiromi Yamazaki(President & CEO,JANSI) gave a activity report “JANSI Activity Review and Future Initiatives~ Instillation and Deepening of Self Regulation ~”, and Mr. Tom Mitchell(Chairman, WANO) commented on the report by online.

Mr. Robert E. Schuetz(CEO, Energy Northwest) gave a keynote speech “Improving Columbia Generating Station Performance by Embracing Self Regulation”.

In the panel discussion, under the theme of “Expectations, Prospects, etc. of Future Activities”, Ms. Moderator : Ms. Yukari Yamashita(Managing Director of the Institute of Energy Economics, Japan)chaired and Mr. Schuetz, Dr. Akira Yamaguchi(Director, Nuclear Safety Research Association / Professor emeritus), Mr. Victor M. McCree (Owner & Principal Operating Officer, NucLeader Consulting, LLC), Mr. Nozomu Mori (Representative Executive Officer & President, Kansai Electric Power Company), William Edward Webster Jr.(Chairman, JANSI), and Hiromi Yamazaki,(President & CEO of JANSI) were on stage for discussion.
