JANSI assesses the management and design of safety-critical equipment of the operator’s, and also conducts activities designed to evaluate, propose and/or recommend, and assist the safety improvement measures. More specifically, the following activities are performed:
・Developing a risk management (RM) review scheme and assisting operators’ RM initiatives.
・JANSI assesses safety improvement measures through surveying and collecting knowledge on safety
　improvement in Japan and overseas.
・Preparing a JSAR (Japan version of Safety Assessment Report) development guideline.
　This initiative is intended to help operators voluntarily enhance safety, streamline licensing-related
　documents, or promote competence improvements, skill transfers, and other such voluntary training
　initiatives.
