The purpose of JSAR is to help operators achieve improved safety by controlling plant safety in an integrated manner. Each operator evaluates the safety of facilities regularly and comprehensively and creates the Japanese Safety Assessment Report (JSAR) to incorporate the evaluation results. Besides offering increased employee capabilities and easier steps in providing explanations to external parties, this process is expected to result in streamlined regulator administrations in the future.

JANSI is establishing a guideline to develop the JSAR.
