JANSI drives and supports operator’s continuous safety activity of Risk Management (Hereinafter referred to as RM) in collaboration with nuclear industry (Operators, Central Research Institute of Electric Power Industry and others).

In recognition of necessary enhancement to operators’ RM, JANSI provided suggestion to operators “Organized safety system considering risks on nuclear safety” (January 2014). RM is operators’ voluntary activity and risks of nuclear facility should be analyzed scientifically and rationally by operators. JANSI have driven and supported operators’ RM activity since providing suggestion.

In reference to the actual examples of US, JANSI holds RM Task Committee and RM Specialist Committee including member of outside RM specialists, aiming to provide advices and show directions to operators. Both Committees closely work together to share issues, lessons and good practices evaluated through the process of RM which is day-to-day plant operation such as identifying risks and taking measure to the graded approach to the risks.
