On Monday, November 9th 2015, JANSI organized a lecture meeting with Dr Josef Misak, the Vice President of Czech Engineering Institute UJV Rez and an ex-IAEA executive. Dr Misak is a Defence-in-depth (DiD) expert and one of the authors of IAEA SRS-46 “Assessment of Defence in Depth for Nuclear Power Plants.” In the meeting, Dr Misak introduced the current trends of the DiD concept in IAEA including interpretations of the level 3 and 4. In addition, various topics like a design for external hazard were covered. The lecture was attended by Japanese utilities and a Q&A session followed.
