On Wednesday, February 19, 2014, discussions were held at the Japan Nuclear Safety Institute with the visiting delegation from the United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission (a delegation of 13 people led by Mike Johnson, Deputy Executive Director for Reactor and Preparedness Programs).

Participants from JANSI included Chairman Shojiro Matsuura, President and CEO Takao Fujie and Director Akihide Kugo. We held valuable discussions with members of the NRC on how we should interact with the business community, and also exchanged opinions on fostering safety culture in the nuclear industry.

The discussions soon got underway
