• JANSI Annual Conference 2026 Program

JANSI held the "JANSI Annual Conference 2026" on March 17th 2026. This 13th annual conference was viewed by about 400 people by online, and, was attended by 100 members of the Institute and domestic/foreign experts.

The conference was held to help set appropriate themes related to nuclear power, think of them as the issues of JANSI members and nuclear professionals themselves, and confirm the direction of future efforts while taking into account domestic and international trends.

The program started with message from Mr. Tomoyuki Sugiyama (Commissioner, Nuclear Regulation Authority, and Mr. Seiichi Miyashita (Director, Office for Nuclear Safety Improvement,  Electricity and Gas Industry Department, Agency of Natural Resource and Energy, Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry), Mr. Nozomu Mori (Chairperson, Federation of Electric Power Companies of Japan).

 

Next Mr. Isao Kato (President & CEO, JANSI) presented a review of JANSI’s activities as well as its future initiatives.

Mr. Kiyoshige Kameda (Chairman of the Board, ANA Wings Co., Ltd.) gave keynote speech “Safety management in the aviation industry - Threat and Error Management (TEM) and Resilience - ”.

In the panel discussion, under the theme of “Further improvement of plant performance - Making risk management take root in the field – ”, Moderator : Dr. Ken Kurosaki (Professor, Institute for Radiation and Nuclear Science, Kyoto University) chaired and Mr. Takanobu Sugimoto (Commissioner, Nuclear Regulation Authority), Mr. Kiyoshige Kameda (Chairman, ANA Wings Co., Ltd. ) ,Mr. Jose Antonio Gago Badenas (Chairman, WANO / former CEO, ANAV), Mr. Koji Matsuda
(President, Hokuriku Electric Power Company) and Mr. Yoichi Hiraoka (Senior Vice President, JANSI) were on stage for discussion.
