JANSI held the "JANSI Annual Conference 2022" on March 23th 2022. This nineth annual conference was held online to prevent the spread of COVID-19 infection, and was viewed by about 600 people, including members of the Institute and domestic/foreign experts.

The conference was held to help set appropriate themes related to nuclear power, think of them as the issues of JANSI members and nuclear professionals themselves, and confirm the direction of future efforts while taking into account domestic and international trends.
This time, our focus will be organizational culture for safety, and domestic and international experts will discuss its characteristics to help audience develop deeper understanding and look into future activities for improved resilience at nuclear power plants.

The program started with message from Dr. Toyoshi Fuketa (Chairman, Nuclear Regulation Authority, Japan (NRA) ), Mr. Kazuhiro Ikebe (Chairman, Federation of Electric Power Companies), and Mr. Tom Mitchell (Chairman, the WANO).

Next Dr. Erik Hollnagel (Professor Emeritus, Linköping University / Ecole des Mines de Paris / the University of Southern Denmark) gave a keynote speech “Healthy, Safe & Effective Organizations : A Systemic Approach”

In the panel discussion, under the theme of “Enhancement of Resilience in Nuclear Safety - New Perspective for Plant Operation -”, Ms. Kyoko Oba (Deputy Chief Engineer, Japan Atomic Energy Agency (JAEA)/Associate Professor, Nagaoka University of Technology) chaired and Dr. Hollnagel, Mr. Jacques Regaldo (Senior Vice President, EDF / Former Chairman of the WANO), Dr. Kazue Nakajima (Executive Director, Japan Organization of Occupational Health and Safety / Professor, Osaka University Faculty of Medicine), Mr. Keisuke Nagai (Director and President, Shikoku Electric Power Company), and Hiromi Yamazaki, President & CEO of JANSI were on stage for discussion.
