JANSI Annual Conference 2019 was held on March 13th, 2019 at Iino Hall (Uchisaiwaicho, Chiyoda Ward).
This conference was aimed for stakeholders to consider the theme concerning nuclear power as their issue and exchange opinions about “Enrich and Adopt Voluntary Safety Improvement Activities” to foster better understanding.
The conference was attended by more than 430 people including JANSI members and internal/external experts.


In the beginning of the program, Mr. Satoru Katsuno, Chairman of Federation of Electric Power Companies of Japan, delivered a keynote presentation titled “Industry Initiatives Based on Lessons Learned from Fukushima Daiichi Accident.”


In the session followed, on the theme of “Strategy for Improving Organizational Management Effectiveness and Promoting a Safety Culture –Activities and Future Outlook on Industry & JANSI” chaired by Mr. Kenichi Takano, Professor at Graduate School of System Design and Management, Keio University, short speeches were made by each panelist; Ms. Yeonhee Hah, Head of the Division of Radiological Protection and Human Aspects of Nuclear Safety of OECD/NEA, Mr. Shinichi Inoue, President & Representative Director of Japan Aircraft Pilot Association, Mr. Masahide Wakakura, Executive Director of NPO Japan Safety Competency Center, Mr. Hiroya Harada, Representative Director & President of Tohoku Electric Power Co., Inc., Mr. Akira Ono, Managing Executive Officer of Tokyo Electric Power Company Holdings, Inc., and Hiromi Yamazaki, President & CEO of JANSI, and discussions were exchanged by the above panelists.
