Leadership training

Reflecting on the TEPCO Fukushima Daiichi accident, JANSI is promoting strong leadership of operator’s management with an awareness of risks inherent to nuclear energy. To this end, JANSI designs and hosts seminars or training that are tailored to different management levels, ranging from operators’ top management to managers, with an emphasis on such qualities as responsibility, risk management, and organization administration.

Nuclear Emergency Preparedness Training

JANSI establishes the Nuclear Emergency Preparedness Training Guideline and provides operators with fundamentals associated with the planning and implementation of emergency trainings. Harnessing the Nuclear Emergency Preparedness Training Study Committee, JANSI strives to maintain and hone the effectiveness of emergency response training, share good practices amongst operators, and helps operators resolve issues. Other undertakings include providing assistance for operators’ voluntary improvement efforts on emergency response competence. Examples include arranging visits to other operators, in which operators observe other operator’s training and provide advice in addition to reflecting upon their own training activities.
